Financial Aid Process

WCYSA will not deny any child the ability to play soccer based on the inability to pay. WCYSA will work diligently to meet the needs of all children by offering scholarships, fee reduction, multi-child discounts and in-kind service agreements. Financial Aid is at the sole discretion of the WCYSA Board of Directors. Aid may not be available in the form that you wish, but we endeavor to meet as many needs as possible through a variety of means.

Responsibility of requesting family:

1. Submit completed application.

2. Provide necessary documentation by submitting photocopies of; food stamp voucher, free lunch voucher, WIC voucher, SSI or SSDI check.

3. Agree to the terms of the assistance offered; (player is responsible for all fees not covered by the financial aid granted; player and/or family member are making an annual commitment to their team and must serve the Club in various volunteer opportunities beyond the volunteer expectations of all members).

Responsibility of the Board of Directors:

    1. Review each application to ensure it is complete.

    2. Perform a detailed review of applications.

    3. Sort the applications based on greatest need.

    4. Determine the amount of aid available.

    5. Award financial assistance available based on the demonstrated needs.

    6. Notify applicants of decision before registration deadline.

      a. Send “Approval” letter.

      b. Send “Denial” letter.

    7. For continuing financial assistance the application must be resubmitted 14 days prior to the next season. Financial assistance will be terminated if the application is not resubmitted, the financial situation is resolved, funds are not available.

    8. Decisions regarding the award of financial aid are at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors. Denied financial aid requests may be appealed to the Board of Directors by the applicant requesting an appeal with the Board.
